I know this debate is old but I take issue with the definitions here. Socialism is a VERY broad term that describes any state control of funds levied from the people to help the people. The roads you drive on every day is practical, useful socialism. Govt taking over the corporations or corps taking over the govt, either direction where the 2 meet and join is fascism. To go from 36 to 39% (or w/e) isn’t “not socialism to socialism, it’s just a debate about more or less of it.

@XanatharEye a nation cannot go from a capitalist to socialist one overnight, nor peacefully. Socialism is a fundamental restructuring of the entire system, attempting to nit pick pieces of both system is what i call: Sub-Nationalized Socialism.. & it is not a preference to either system. As class destinations will ruin the working class, while the rich are unaffected.
